In a nutshell: The Written; Book 1 of The Emanska Series
His name is Farden.
They whisper that he’s dangerous.
Dangerous is only the half of it.
Something has gone missing from the libraries of Arfell. Something very old, and something
very powerful. Five scholars are now dead, a country is once again on the brink of war, and
the magick council is running out of time and options.
Entangled in a web of lies and politics and dragged halfway across icy Emaneska and back, Farden must unearth a secret even he doesn’t want to know, a secret that will shake the foundations of his world. Dragons, drugs, magick, death, and the deepest of betrayals await.
Welcome to Emaneska.
First chapter review:
The novel opens with a group of scholars gathered around a small mysterious black book covered in black dragon scales. Wrapped around it was a thick gold lock, sealing it tight, with no way of opening it, not even after one of the scholars tried to pry it open with a knife. It confounded the scholars, but not for long. A mage appeared and with a few magic words, the book opened before their very eyes. What happened after that made me go WTH!??? OMG…
After throwing a curve ball, the author switched scenes and introduced a mysterious hooded stranger, who, when confronted by a wrym, without hardly breaking a sweat, defeated it.
Now, who is this stranger?? Who is that mage? What’s really in that black book?
GAHHHH….!!! He sure knows how to keep the reader on tenterhooks!
Can’t wait to read the rest of the book!
